Have you ever dreamed of appearing in the SU Holidays brochure? Have you ever accosted an official SU Scotland photographer at camp begging to get your photo in the brochure? Is the first thing you do when you receive the brochure each year to open up and see if you or your friends are inside??

If you answer yes to any of those questions we may well have on offer possibly the best combination of prizes on the planet for our Iconi Holiay Photo Competition winner... The winner will get their photo in the 2011 SU Holidays brochure as well as receiving £30 iTunes vouchers!!

Wow!  The fantastic folk in SU Holidays have agreed, subject to terms and conditions (see below or on the competition page), to endeavour to put a photo of the winner in their new 2011 brouchure! While our friends at SanctusMedia have given us £30 of iTunes vouchers to give to the winner!

As it's taken us so long to announce the prizes (though they've definitely been worth the wait) we have extended the competition deadline to Saturday 18th September 2010 at 23:59. So there's plenty of time still to enter.

Find out how to enter here.

Terms and Conditions:

SU Holidays will make all reasonable endeavour to put a photo of the winner in their 2011 brochure. However, they reserve the right not to use a photo of the winner if the available photo/s are deemed not to match the high quality and style of the other photographs within the brochure. The winner must have attended an SU Holiday in 2010 and only photographs from that event will be considered for inclusion within the brochure. If the winner did not attend an SU Holiday in 2010 then no photo of them will be used. No cash or prize alternative will be offered, and neither will this prize be transferred to one of the runners-up. If a photo of the winner is used they may appear on their own or within a group shot. We will let the winner know if they appear in the brochure or not once the brochure has been printed. SU Holidays' decision is final. It is within the winner's right to decline to appear within the SU Holidays 2011 brochure. Again no cash or prize alternative will be offered, and again the prize will not be transferred to one of the runners-up.

Regardless of what happens the winner will be awarded £30 iTunes vouchers courtesy of our friends at SanctusMedia.

Some members are finding that when they try to upload a new avatar or photos to a gallery the upload fails. This is because the photo uploader that ignite uses has an undisclosed pixel dimension limit.

We have now been able to work out what this limit is (worked out through a lot of trial and error): for portrait photos the maximum size is (w) 2030 x (h) 2706 pixels and for landscape photos the maximum size is (w) 2706 x (h) 2030 pixels. This is the equivalent of photos taken with a 5.5 Megapixel camera. If your photos are taken with a 5.6 Megapixel camera or higher then your photos won't upload without resizing them.

Sadly, we cannot change our photo uploader limit as we use third-party software to do upload photos to ignite. Neither can we change photo uploaders, as the photo uploader is part of a larger piece of software which is integral to ignite's Connect zone. You don't need to worry too much about all of that, and yes, a 5.5 Megapixel limit was a stupid idea, but we are stuck with the issue until a future update fixes it.

In the mean time you will need to resize your photos below this pixel limit to get them to successfully upload to ignite. We are very sorry for the inconvenience this has and will cause.

Going on an SU Holiday this summer... Then please help us promote ignite by asking your Team Leader if you can share your experience of ignite in one of your meetings. All you need to do is to wax lyrical about how awesome you think ignite is and that you think everyone should sign up!!

If you are still unsure about what you would say, perhaps think about sharing your answers to the following questions:
1. What is ignite?
2. What do you like about ignite?
3. How has ignite impacted your relationship with God?

That's it! Thanks in advance for helping promote ignite. You are awesome! Leave a comment below to let us know how it went.

As usual we'll be sending out letters so that they have arrived by the time your SU Holiday has ended.

Let's see if we can encourage loads of new faces to start regularly logging into ignite over the summer! It'd be amazing to see hundreds of young people logging in each week wouldn't it?!!

keyboardSend us content for our Engage and Play zones and in return we’ll give you shed loads of ignite points to say thank you!

If you're at Frenzy next Saturday (12th June) make sure you drop by the SU Scotland stand and say hi to Carren Malcolm. Carren is SU Scotland's lovely new Communications & Marketing Officer and she'll be at Frenzy, presumably communicating and marketing! Lol!

Carren is also one of ignite's latest members and she was incredibly excited (and I'm not just saying that, she was like a girl who'd just been given new shoes) when she got her ignite Activation Keycode sent to her.

Now the last time I was at Frenzy, many people were too shy or too busy to come and say hi! So to encourage more of you to say hi to Carren on Sarurday I am offering a special, unprecedented, one-off, hugely momentus incentive.... Drum roll please...

I will give 1,000 ignite points (yes one thousand) to anyone who uploads to ignite a photo of themselves next to Carren at Frenzy to show they went up and said hi!!!! (And I mean next to Carren, not Carren's somewhere in the background or that she's completely unaware she's being snapped!)

Spread the word, or if you really want to sneak a 1,000 ignite points without your friends knowing then don't...
