For the second year in a row I travelled to Kingscross, Arran, for an SU Holiday, expecting to make new friends and see old ones as well. My second week at KX5 was excellent and I really enjoyed all the activities including gorge walking, pony trekking, power boating, abseiling and many more. All these excellent activities though are not what makes KX5 so brilliant, it's the amazing attitude all the leaders and campers have to learning about God and giving there all to live for Him. This is shown beautifully through worship and small group times in which you see Christian faith blossom.

Biblefresh is holding a photography competition, with a star prize of a Nintendo Wii for under 16s and an ipad for 16s and over!

This Christmas and New Year Biblefresh would love you to think about how the truth of God’s Word has changed your life by taking a photograph of yourself (or a group) holding a sign starting with ‘Now I…’ or ‘Now we…’ and then stating the difference having God’s Word has made to your life. The more imaginative the location, the better – especially, if there’s a connection with the words on your sign. Then upload the photograph to our Facebook page and tag yourself. We would also love you to make the photograph your Facebook profile photo in January.

Sorry to interrupt… I was going to give a big ‘Shout Out’ to all those who had been to either Go Live or Go Mad last year – but then I thought, that’s so rude. I was always told that shouting out was just drawing attention to myself, and that’s not what anyone wants to see. So how about a polite ‘Hello, sorry to interrupt’ to all those who were there last October. Ah, the memories… but let’s look to the future and in particular to Friday 15th October at Lendrick Muir – close your eyes (metaphorically – you need to keep reading), picture the scene… and cue dream sequence type music...

With the Commonwealth Games coming to Glasgow in four years time the churches have formed a group to look at how it can play its part in the event. The aims of the group can be found at the bottom of this article but we are now looking for a logo to represent the group and its aims and we need YOUR help!

The Games will be an exciting event for the City and the Church and this is your chance to be involved at an early stage. We would like you to encourage your youth group to design a logo, with the best one being chosen to represent the Glasgow Churches 2014 steering group.
