You are invited to come and be a Trainee Leader on an SU team in 2010! Basecamps in 2010 are part of COmMISSION, SU Scotland’s short-term mission programme. If you are in S5 or S6, or over 16 and have left school or are in College, this is your chance to take up the challenge of Jesus’ “great commission”:
“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28: 19-20).
The challenge starts here in Scotland, where young people need Jesus and many know very little about him. On the COmMISSION programme, we will give you the training you need at a Basecamp, and then you will get actively involved as a Trainee Leader at one or more SU events, usually during the Easter or summer holidays. At the end of the summer, the programme finishes with a weekend of celebration, review, and looking forward.

And remember, you are not expected to do this on your own; Jesus ends His great commission with the words, “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28: 20).
