You can now pick up the story where it left off as ignite's Daily Soundbites return with day 6 of 'Egypt's Prince'. Moses, the titular prince, has journeyed back to his country of birth having been called by God to lead his fellow Israelites to freedom from Egyptian slavery. Faced with a stubborn Pharaoh and reluctant followers, things are not going as planned for Moses. Read today's soundbite here.

September's edition of @SU saw ignite grace its front cover and occupy a two-page spread within the magazine. The article talks about ignite's re-launch and the improvements we've made to the site. Two of our members, Nathan and Erin, contribute to the article by saying what they think of ignite.
You can check out September's edition of @SU online using Yudu, a free online publishing facitility. View the magazine online here. Alternatively you can download a PDF copy of the magazine from SU Scotland's website.

Better be quick - less than 24 hours since the 2010 holidays website went live, places are already disappearing fast for our Easter and Summer holidays.
New for 2010 is a specialist Drama Camp at Lendrick Muir and we are delighted to be offering a horse riding event at Drumnadrochit once again.

We are excited to announce that over the weekend ignite gained its 300th teenage member. Our tally has now reached 313 teenage members since re-launching the site.
When we re-launched ignite one month ago we took the bold step of making all our existing members re-register and therefore started with 0 members. Since then, 70 of our 126 core members have re-registered along with over 240 new members logging in.

We want to introduce you to the new Connect icon as designed by 14 year old Marsaili Calder. Marsaili won a competition for ignite members we held over the winter months to design this icon. With the ignite redesign taking a lot of our focus over recent months it's taken us awhile to transfer Marsaili's drawing into pixelated reality! But here we are and we hope you like him.

Saturday was ignite's first birthday! This time last year we officially launched ignite and welcomed our first members into our community area. Since then we have invited over 2,000 secondary-aged young people to join ignite's social network, all of whom have been on a week-long holiday with SU Scotland since July 2007. Around 60% of these young people have chosen to login at least once to ignite.

This past weekend, ignite had its highest ever number of logins hitting three figures for the first time in a single weekend. During the three and a half day period from Friday 1st August to lunchtime on Monday 4th August 102 young people logged into ignite altogether. Over half of these users had logged in one or more times during July, while the rest were made up of new users or users returning after not using the site for awhile.

This may not be considered very news worthy, but its the most exciting debate we've had in the SU Offices for ages!!! It's a funny old thing, pronunciation. Some people do it with flair while others, like me, tend to end up embarrassing myself! Overnight, pronunciation has become the most hotly debated topic within SU's offices across Scotland. It all started when one of our Regional Workers started talking about "Allt-na-creesh!" Clearly a mistake, even to my English ears. But as corrections flew in from left and right a strange observation was made: No one really knew how to pronounce the name of our centre just outside of Aviemore (you know the one).
