On Tuesday night ignite's membership total reached the awesome heights of 800 members! It has been just over a year since we re-launched ignite and we are absolutely delighted to have reached 800 members in that time.
This news came at the end of a great week where we saw over 200 members login within a seven-day period for the first time ever. Thanks to everyone who is logging in and making ignite such a vibrant community!!
This summer has seen an additional 120 new members already and we are still expecting a large influx of even more new members within the coming weeks. This is due to there still being two weeks worth of SU Holiday campers still to be invited to join as well as all the P7s who were attending a SU Holiday this summer being invited to join as they enter S1 in two or three weeks time. Our aim is to hit 1,000 members sometime during September!
The balance of the membership is still heavily favoured towards secondary school aged teenagers, with almost 85% (677) of our 800 members being 18 or under. This continues to make ignite a fantastic place for teenagers to connect with Christians their own age, as well as connecting with SU leaders and with God too.
ignite hit 800 members Tuesday evening when Benjamin Entwistle (S2) logged in for the first time to ignite. Benjamin will receive a free ignite mousemat in the post for being our 800th member!
ignite members can update their status, create and join discussion groups, send private messages and upload photos, plus much more. Membership is free, but it is based upon face-to-face relationships that SU Scotland has with secondary school aged teenagers.
